WILLEMSTAD – In celebration of the introduction of the new Caribbean guilder currency, Carmabi is launching a unique interactive exhibition at the Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park. The exhibition highlights the fascinating plants and animals from Curaçao’s underwater world featured on the newly introduced banknotes.
Starting March 29, 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to discover Curaçao’s remarkable marine biodiversity in an engaging and educational way. Thanks to a donation from the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS), new information panels have been installed, offering detailed descriptions of the featured species in both English and Papiamentu. On Sint Maarten, similar panels will be displayed in English and French, raising awareness of marine biodiversity there as well.
The experienced mangrove park rangers bring the featured animals and plants to life through vivid storytelling, helping visitors understand the crucial role these species play in the local ecosystem. This exhibition underscores the importance of nature conservation and aligns perfectly with Carmabi’s mission to make environmental education both accessible and inspiring.
The exhibition is open daily during the regular opening hours of the Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park. Tours can be booked by emailing info@mangrovepark.org or directly at the park’s visitor center.
Carmabi invites everyone to experience the wonder and value of Curaçao’s underwater world for themselves.
