We are looking for park rangers!

Are you passionate about the outdoors and ready to make a difference? As a Park Ranger, you’ll be on the frontlines of conservation, guiding visitors and safeguarding our national treasures.

Every day is an adventure!

Vacancy: Mangrove Park Ranger (m/f)

📍 Location: Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park

Do you love being outdoors, care deeply about nature, and want to make a real impact? Then this might be the perfect job for you!

The Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park, managed by the CARMABI Foundation, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Park Ranger. In this role, you will help protect one of Curaçao’s most unique ecosystems while welcoming visitors from all over the world.

What you’ll do

As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for the daily management of the park. Your work includes maintaining the walking trails and mangrove areas, assisting with visitor activities, and supporting educational tours. You’ll help ensure safety within the park and share information about the importance of mangroves for our island and the ocean.

No two days are the same — one day you might be out on the water, maintaining the boardwalks or guiding a school group, the next you’re helping tourists discover the beauty of this natural area.

What we’re looking for

  • VSBO level of education or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license (B)
  • Swimming certificate and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Good command of Papiamentu, English, Dutch, and Spanish
  • Physically fit and willing to perform hands-on work
  • Friendly, responsible, and good with children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for nature and conservation
  • Flexible, willing to work weekends and irregular hours

Knowledge of local nature, boating, and basic computer programs (Word, Excel) is an advantage.

What we offer

A dynamic position in a unique natural environment where conservation, education, and tourism come together. You’ll join a motivated team within an organization that plays a key role in preserving Curaçao’s natural heritage.

We offer:

  • Opportunities for training and personal development
  • A competitive salary based on education and experience (40-hour work week)
  • Collective health insurance and pension plan
  • A meaningful job with impact

A medical check-up, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), and assessment are part of the selection process.
